Santa Barbara Uni (Sea Urchin) at Mori Sushi
Last night immediately following dinner at Mori in West Los Angeles, I posted a pic of this stunning Santa Barbara Uni via twitter. Soon following, one of my fellow tweeters, Eric sent me a link to the Maruhide company – a Long Beach based company, founded in 1975 that offers "great tasting uni". You definitely need to check them out if you fancy or are curious to learn more about Northern California sea urchin.

If you prefer to have someone else prepare Santa Barbara Uni sushi for you, a visit to Mori on the Westside is a must. In addition the the S.B. uni, they also serve an uni delicacy from Hokkaido, Japan.
